Inatori Onsen Senoumi
1604-1, Inatori, Higashiizu Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Pref.
A spectacular open-air bath with plenty of feeling of openness, between the endless sky and the sea
The bathing room is on the top floor, with a spectacular ocean view below. You can enjoy the blue sky, sunset sky, and starry sky in the open-air bath where the sky spreads overhead.
They use their own source for hot spring. Chloride hot springs, which are typical of seaside hot springs, have the feature of maintaining warmth even after the bath.
Senoumi, which slogans to be an inn where delicious fish live, is a japanese-style ryokan that boasts fresh and delicious seafood dishes. The hall is a relaxing space with plenty of wood and tatami mats.

Travel journal of day trip bathing to hot spring
Characters
- Nishi-san
- He is an orthodox hot springs lover and particular about quality of springs. He loves the hot springs flowing from the source, the hot water with a presence, and the rustic atmosphere.
- Kita-san
- He doesn't care much about quality of hot springs. He loves the open-air bath, and prefers hot springs that have visible features such as good views.
(→ Continuation from Hokkawa Onsen Kuroneiwaburo)
Nishi-san and Kita-san are visiting hot springs with the theme of "sea" today.
After leaving Hokkawa Onsen, they've headed to Inatori Onsen.
Inatori is lined with hotels and inns on a peninsula that juts out into the sea of Sagami.
The two have come to one of them, the hot spring inn "Senoumi", which can also be used by day trip bathers.
Exterior
Oh, here. It's right next to the sea, you know.
It seems that the view is nice here. Especially the view from the open-air bath.
I like it.
Enter Senoumi. The first thing that catches the eye is the window at the back of the entrance.
♨ "Senoumi" is shallow waters that spreads out on the seabed of Izu. It is a fishing ground where many fish live, and it seems that they named "Senoumi" with the meaning of "an inn where delicious seafood gathers".
Window at the entrance
Wow, a heart-shaped window! Beyond that is the sea.
It's a bit like Meigetsuin in Kamakura. In short, they are incorporating the tradition of Japanese architecture well.
But this one is heart-shaped, so girls seem to like it better.
Nishi-san and Kita-san walk down the corridor beyond that.
This corridor is also pretty good. Maybe this is a luxury ryokan?
I'm not sure. Well, the accommodation charge may be high, but the atmosphere is not so formal. It may because it's tatami mats flooring.
While having such a talk, the two are getting on the elevator to the top floor (5th floor) where the bathing room is. The bathing room has an indoor bath and an open-air bath.
Indoor bath
Oh, nice view!
Exactly! It's pretty good.
It looks like the bathtub is sticking out into the sea.
Washing area
They will get into the bathtub for the time being.
Phew, good hot water.
I wonder if the color is a little brownish ... Well, it feels like a typical seaside hot spring.
Hey, let's go to the open-air bath.
So soon!
They've got out to the open-air bath.
Open-air bath
Wow! Awesome! The view is fantastic!
The sun is dazzling!
What a feeling of openness! The blue sea and the blue sky! Oh!? Seen from this position, it seems that the bathtub and the sea are connected.
Exactly. They designed it well, I guess. …Oh? Is this Yunohana?
The two who enjoyed the hot water and the view for a while. Next, Kita-san will take a cold water bath.
Cold water bath in open-air bath area
It's not too cold. I mean, it feels better to take a cold water bath than hot one today.
It's pretty hot with nice weather, today.
The open-air bath area is divided into two areas. There are three Tsuboyu (pot bathtubs) lined up higher than where they are now.
Tsuboyu in open-air bath area
The sky is even wider here.
Well ... but I wonder if the hot water is a little dirty ...
I feel like that. And it's a little hot. After all, the cold water bath is the best.
A cold water bath is not a hot spring ... It was better to go to the pool or the sea bathing today, wasn't it?
Hmmm, that's true. That was also a good idea.
View from the open-air bath
It seemed that it was so hot day to soak in the hot water slowly. Still, there are many hot springs with wonderful view here and there in Izu. Nishi-san and Kita-san talked about where to go next with enjoying the view of the sea and sky in the summer to their heart's content.

Impression & rating
It feels like a typical seaside hot spring, but its characteristics are much weaker. It is better to go for the view than hot water.

Impression & rating
An open-air bath with a great feeling of openness, with a fantastic view of the sea and sky. I think it's especially beautiful at sunset.

Today Beer
Baird Beer's Suruga Bay Imperial IPA
Baird Beer's Imperial IPA (IPA = India Pale Ale), who makes craft beer in Izu. The color is beautiful brown and has a refreshing scent like a pear. By the way, what is drawn on the label is colorful fireworks. According to the brewer, Mr. Baird, this flavor is a "fireworks-like festival of hop character." Hmmm, well, if I hear that, I feel like that, I guess, I wonder.
